Bungarribee

Bungarribee is a wide open scenic space, fantastic for walking, cycling and dog walking – with one of Sydney’s largest off-leash dog areas, the Warrigal Dog Run.

Construction of the 200-hectare recreational park was completed in March 2017.

What’s at Bungarribee?

Western Sydney Parklands’ $15 million Bungarribee Park is the largest recreational space in Western Sydney since the construction of Homebush’s Bicentennial Park.

Some of the major construction work has included walking and cycling tracks, 20 barbecues, 13 picnic shelters, a playground with climbing tower, slides, a flying fox, swings and water play, amenities facility, additional car parking, landscaping, re-vegetation, an off-leash dog park and vehicle access from Doonside Road.

The wetland around Bungarribee and Eastern creeks will be protected and 20 hectares of native wildflower and thousands of native trees will be planted to restore the Cumberland Plain.

Picnic Shelters: Choose from 13 shelters. 8 are available for hire, the rest are free of charge, on a first-come first-served basis. See Hire a Shelter.

Off-leash Dog Walking: Warrigal Run is the only area in the Parklands where dogs are allowed off-leash.

Walking and Cycling: Sealed tracks, including one that runs between the Great Western Highway and Eastern Road, make Bungarribee a terrific place to walk or cycle.

Parking: Parking is available in marked bays. Bays are marked by signs and symbols and time restrictions apply in some areas.
