Gold Coast is one of the cities in the Queensland, Australia. The place is located 66km southeast of the Brisbane, Queensland’s capital city. Also, the place is immediately north of the New South Wales’s border. The estimated population in Gold Coast as of the 2015 census is 624,918 people and the land area of this region covers around 415km2. The place will host the 2018 Commonwealth games. Gold Coast offers excellent transport facilities which encompass the public transport, light rail, heavy rail, bus and airport.

Gold Coast enjoys a humid subtropical climate, with hot summers and winters. However, the city experiences a heavy downpours and thunderstorms which last for few weeks especially in the summer. The average temperature hovers around 25 degrees Celsius in the summer and the average recorded rainfall throughout the year is about 1295mm, in which the month of February dominates the most.
