Darwin, the capital city of the Northern territory, a territory of Australia located on the Timor Sea. The city was initially a pioneer outpost. It is the only city in Northern territory which holds the largest population of around 1.4lakh. The coastal areas of this city are home to recreational reserves, extensive beaches, and excellent fishing.

Climate conditions in Darwin

The city experiences a tropical savanna climate with distinct dry and wet seasons. The arid climate hovers in the months between May and September, with around one-third of humidity. However, the city brings the heavy showers from December to March as well as an abundant cloud cover with less sunshine. During the damp season, the city brings the spectacular lightning shows and thunderstorms.

The city encompasses some exceptional tourist attractions such as Mindil Beach, Charles Darwin National Park, Lake Alexander, Convention centre, Northern Territory Library, Holmes Jungle National Park etc.

Darwin has some excellent bus network services which are managed by contracted bus operators.In addition to this, Darwin has a new deep water port which handles the giant sized ships of a maximum length of 270m, and about 80000 tonnage of goods.
