Set over 12 hectares, the Central Gardens Nature Reserve is the ideal local outdoor venue for family parties, group activities and school excursions. It is located at the corner of the Cumberland Highway and Merrylands Road, Merrylands.
The Central Gardens Nature Reserve is open from:
7:30am to 5pm (Monday to Friday) and 9am-5pm (weekends) outside of daylight savings
30am to 7.00pm (Monday to Friday) and 8am-7pm (weekends) during daylight savings
Water feature operating hours 11am – 2pm daily
Central Gardens is Closed Good Friday and Christmas Day
The Yarrabee area is located towards the Merrylands Road/Cumberland Highway corner of the park. The area is ideal for large gatherings, incorporating a shelter structure with a long picnic table and benches underneath. Children will be entertained with the playground next to the area, bush trails close by and a short walk to the animal enclosures. There are two electric BBQs, five picnic tables and benches surrounding the shelter offering easy set up and flexible layouts for events.
