Broken Hill is city in the Australian state of New South Wales, which is isolated in the far west of the state’s outback. The city is also called as “The Silver City”, the “Oasis of the West”, and the “Capital of the Outback”. In addition, the city is well-known for carrying out the mining activities. Interestingly, the city has been obtaining the power from the natural resources such as solar and water.


The city is located at 1160km west of Sydney, 511km North-east of Adelaide and 266km North of Wentworth. Besides, the city shares the border with South Australia on the crossing of Barrier Highway (A32), Silver City Highway(B79), in the Barrier Range.
