Fyshwick

Fyshwick is one of the suburbs of Canberra, as well as it is the retail and light industry suburb of Canberra. The suburb has many bike dealers, stores selling hardwares and home furnishings. In addition, there are some fast-food outlets.

Suburbs which are surrounded by Fyshwick are Barton to the north-west, Kingston to the west, Griffith to the south-west, Campbell to the north, Narrabundah to the south, Pialligo to the north-east, Queanbeyan NSW to the east and Symonston to the south-east.

Transportation facilities

The trains are operated through the middle of Fyshwick dividing the area into two. It is interesting to note that the Ipswich and Newcastle streets, and the Monaro highway cross the railway line joining the both halves of the suburb.

The Sewage treatment in Fyshwick is operated to treat the effluents from factories, which in turn used to water the Duntroon grounds and golf course.

Education

Fyshwich has a Telopea Park School, Narrabundah College, and the shared priority Enrollment Area (PEA) of Forest primary, as well as Red Hill Primary.
